Omega Speedmaster The First Omega in Space
On October 3, 1962, the Omega Speedmaster CK 2998 became the first Omega watch to enter space. At that time, astronaut Walter Schirra wore his personally purchased Speedmaster to carry out the "Sigma 7" mission of the Mercury program. The newly upgraded model reinterprets the style of the second-generation Speedmaster with a modern design, paying tribute to this pioneering timepiece.
